Application area: Aluminum powder – is a metal powder where the base component is aluminum, with minor concentration of alloys. This powder is used in metallurgy in the process of melting or powder molding. In particular, aluminum powder PA-4 is used in the production of industrial selenium and tellurium, by hydrometallurgical selenide method which is based on the reduction of tetravalent selenium directly in solution, more electropositive than metallic selenium.
Note: Aluminium powder is a dual-use good and can be used as a component for the production of explosive materials.
This powder is classified as hazard level 4 for transportation, according to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). Transportation of this cargo requires special preparation, appropriate permission and documentation.
